Ljubljana, 04 June (STA) - SID Banka, the state-owned export and development bank, announced on Tuesday it was expanding the possibilities for obtaining favourable loans for research, development and innovation. It will now be also possible to get EUR 24 million in long-term loans through Gorenjske Banka, SID said.
Gorenjska Banka, a Kranj-based bank that was acquired by AIK bank from Serbia at the end of last year, will add EUR 9 million to EUR 15 million being provided by the Fund of Funds, which is managed by SID Banka.
The funds, which can also be obtained through Sberbank and SID Banka, are intended for companies of all sizes, for sole proprietors, start-ups and cooperatives.
The loans can range between EUR 10,000 and EUR 10 million, and come with interest rates below the market rates, with a maturity of up to nine years, up to a three-year moratorium on principal repayments and laxer insurance conditions.
