The Victory Voices festive concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in World War II was held on Wednesday at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in the capital of Slovenia. More than 70 Slovenes and compatriots became guests of the event organized with the participation of the Russian Embassy in Ljubljana, TASS reports.
“We are very grateful to our Slovenian friends and partners for preserving the grateful memory of the great feat of the Soviet soldier who liberated Europe from the main evil of the twentieth century - fascism and Nazism, for caring for military graves and searching activities,” the adviser noted in her welcoming remarks Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Ljubljana Galina Zamyatina.
Before the concert, guests had the opportunity to see on a large screen a recording of the Victory Parade in Moscow. Then there was a performance of opera singers from Slovenia, who performed songs of the war years in Russian and Slovenian. The repertoire included "Victory Day", "Dark Night", "Cranes" and "Dark-skinned girl".
