Ljubljana, 08 April (STA) - Although its market share has been dropping for the past two years, the state-owned telco Telekom Slovenije has retained its leading position among mobile network providers. Its market share topped 40% in the last quarter of 2017, whereas the largest three mobile provides controlled more than 90% of Slovenia's market.
Telekom Slovenije's share edged down 0.2 points to 43.7% at the end last December from the end of the third quarter of last year, show data of the national Agency for Communication Networks and Services (AKOS).
A1 Slovenija's share dropped by 0.6 points to 28.8%, whereas the shares of Telemach and T-2 rose by 0.5% and 0.1% to 19.2% and 4.5%, respectively.
Izimobil dropped 0.1% to 2.6%, while Mega M, Softnet and Hot Mobil's market shares remained extremely low, below 1.3%.
AKOS also said that the number of people using more than one mobile phone continues to increase.
