Ljubljana, 08 April (STA) - A delegation of Slovenian logistics companies is starting a visit to India on Monday as part of Slovenia's promotion as a logistics platform for Central and SE Europe.
The 22-strong delegation will present to Indian companies their services and promote Slovenia as the shortest transport route from India to Central and SE Europe.
Monday and Tuesday will be reserved for promotional business conference and business-to-business meetings in Mumbai, a business and financial hub with an important container port, the SPIRIT agency said as it announced the visit.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the delegation will be in Chennai, the largest industrial and commerce centre in south India, which is also known as the Detroit of India.
The four-day visit is organised by SPIRIT and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (GZS) transport section.
The two organisations took Slovenian logistics companies to Japan last April and organised their promotion at the 2018 Transport & Logistics fair in Munich, where joint promotion is also planned for this year.
