After the construction of 4 transformer stations, which operate successfully, the Slovenian company Riko has on 3 October 2014 signed a contract with the Belarusian investor Minskenergom to construct some new and reconstruct existing transformer stations. Both projects will further improve the energy supply of the city of Minsk. The value of the project is evaluated at 43 mio EUR.
Riko as the general contractor for the construction and reconstruction of substations and switchyards, together with the mutual cabling at the level of voltage 110kV / 10kV, is implementing the “projects on key” together with other Slovenian companies, including Kolektor Etro, Sipro, ABB, Siemens. The investor is a company RUP MINSKENERGO RB, which is responsible for the supply and distribution of electricity and heat in the city Minsk and its surroundings. MINSKENERGO RB produces 40% of all electricity in Belarus.
By signing of this agreement Riko has strengthened its position of the leading Slovenian company in Belarus, as well as among European companies in the energy sector in Belarus.
Contract signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, accredited to Belarus, Mr. Primoz Šeligo.
