On 2 October 2014 a ceremonial signing of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Faculty of Management of the University of Primorska and the Moscow School of Economics of the Moscow State University took place in the premises of the Embassy of Slovenia in Moscow.

The Agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Primorska prof. dr. Dragan Marušič, the Dean of the Faculty of Management prof. dr. Matjaž Novak and the Dean of the Moscow School of Economics prof. Alexander D. Nekipelov.

The goal of the signed Agreement on Cooperation is to establish long-term and strategic cooperation between the two faculties in the field of scientific research, to develop joint educational programs in the fields of economics and strategic finance, the exchange of students and teachers and to establish a common economic network. On the basis of the signed agreement annual work programs will be adopted that will provide specific areas of cooperation.

At this occasion Rector prof. dr. Marušič expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of cooperation between the two faculties and expressed willingness to work towards successful continuation of the excellent cooperation. He stressed that in the sphere of science and education no limits exists.

Dean prof. Alexander D. Nekipelov sharing the view of the colleagues stressed that Slovenia has an extremely favorable geostrategic position, and in particular - the city of Koper, where the seat of the Faculty of Management is.

Ambassador Primoz Šeligo welcomed the signing of the Agreement, describing it as a timely boost for the consolidation and deepening of economic cooperation between the two countries and assured further support of the Embassy for all such projects.
