Odranci, 08 April (STA) - Carthago Odranci, a subsidiary of German mobile homes maker Carthago, generated almost EUR 203m revenue in the financial year that ended on 31 July 2018, which is a 13% rise year-on-year. Profit jumped from EUR 7.8m to EUR 14.7m.
The company employed 774 people at the end of last July, which is 30 more than the year before, show data from the Agency for Public Legal Records (AJPES). The company is looking for more staff, so it expects the number of staff to exceed 800 soon.
After being present in Odranci for ten years, the company plans to continue to expand its production. In June 2018, it built new production facilities with offices, while this year a new engineering hall is to be finished.
In the past business year, it allocated some EUR 10m for fire protection on all its buildings, new machinery and modernisation of operations.
According to CEO Sandra Županec, Carthago Odranci manufactured its 20,000th vehicle on 9 April. The company manufactures some 40 vans and 60 campers a week and has been increasing. By 2021, the annual production is expected to reach some 7,000 vehicles.
