Ljubljana, 25 February (STA) - The prices of regular petrol and diesel sold outside the motorway network will go up substantially on Tuesday. Petrol will be 3.9 cents dearer at EUR 1.246 per litre, while the regulated price of diesel will increase by 2.8 cents a litre to EUR 1.266, the Economic Development and Technology Ministry said on Monday.
These are record high prices for both this year, which started out with regular petrol costing EUR 1.183 and diesel EUR 1.194.
In Slovenia, the prices of regular petrol and diesel sold at pumps outside the motorway network are regulated by the state.
The regulated fuel prices are adjusted every two weeks factoring in the price of oil on Mediterranean markets, the euro-dollar exchange rate and biofuel prices.
