Maribor, 05 July (STA) - Luxembourg-based company Biser Bidco, the sole owner of Slovenia's second largest bank NKBM, decided at Wednesday's shareholders' meeting to pay out the entire 2017 net profit of EUR 45.8m in dividends.
Biser Bidco is owned by US fund Apollo, which holds 80% of the company, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The two companies signed a contract to buy the Maribor-based state-owned bank for EUR 250m in mid-2015, meeting all the requirements in April 2016.
According to the bank's filing with the Agency for Public Legal Records (AJPES), NKBM's distributable profit at the end of last year stood at around EUR 79.5m, of which EUR 33.7m was retained profit from previous years.
The shareholders also granted discharge of liability to the management and supervisory boards.
When reporting its financials for 2017 in April, NKBM said its group net profit was EUR 48.3m, up 58% on 2016, with the core bank's net profit up by 39% to EUR 45.8m.
The group's total assets rose by more than 2% to EUR 4.93bn last year.
