Ljubljana, 05 December (STA) - Slovenia saw the number of people registered as being out of work decrease by 0.2% in November to 76,099, as much as 7.7% fewer than a year ago.
The Employment Service registered 6,145 newly unemployed in November, a decline of 35.8% from October and 4.8% fewer than in November 2017. More than half (3,269) saw their temporary job contract expire.
Of the 6,278 removed from the register of the unemployed, 4,372 found a job or became self-employed. The latter figure marks a decline of 9.1% from the end of October and a drop of 8.7% year-on-year.
Employers registered 11,688 vacancies in November, 18% fewer than the month before.
In the first 11 months of the year, 69,280 persons were newly registered as unemployed, 6.6% fewer than in the same period a year ago, while 58,287 got a job or 10.2% fewer than a year earlier.
The latest statistics, available for September, put the registered unemployment rate at 7.8%, down 0.2 percentage points from August and down 0.9 points from September 2017.
