Ljubljana, 10 April (STA) - Slovenia's industrial output in February was down 1.1% over January and 4.3% higher year-on-year, the Statistics Office reported on Wednesday. Industrial sales revenue was up by 0.5% in monthly and by 6.9% in annual comparisons.
In February, industrial output was down in electricity, gas and steam supply (-6.3%) and in manufacturing (-0.8%). In mining it was up by 12.3%.
In annual comparison, the value of industrial production increased the most in mining (+22.8%) and manufacturing (+5.2%). In electricity, gas and steam supply it decreased by 6.9%.
In monthly comparison, sales revenues were up in capital goods industries (+5.2%) and in intermediate goods industries (+0.8%). Turnover in consumer goods industries was down by 2.2%.
The value of stocks of finished and unfinished production decreased by 0.9% compared to January. In manufacturing it was down by 1% and in mining and quarrying by 0.2%.
