Ljubljana, 13 February (STA) - Slovenia's biggest gaming company HIT generated a total of EUR 176.2m in gross revenue last year, which is 6% more than in 2016 and 2.2% more than planned, according to initial estimates presented by the company on Tuesday.
Hotels operated by HIT last year recorded more than 229,000 overnight stays, up 33% year-on-year, increasing the occupancy rate and exceeding the plan.
The attendance in gaming establishments was meanwhile down by more than 3%, the company said, adding that it had paid more than EUR 45m in gaming tax and concession fees.
The management's plan is to increase gross revenue by 2.4% this year.
