Gornja Radgona, 11 February (STA) - Rosenbauer, the world's largest maker of firefighting vehicles equipment, has been making fire trucks in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia since 1997. Now it is expanding production.
The company last week inaugurated new production facilities stretching over more than a thousand square metres, an investment worth EUR 1.5m.
Rosenbauer Slovenija posted revenue of EUR 21.5m last year and a net profit of EUR 1.4m; the expansion is expected to lead to revenue of EUR 30m within a year or two, director Marjan Cvikl told the STA.
The Slovenian branch, which started out in Yugoslavia as a specialist in overhauling old firefighting vehicles, is specialised in making water tanks, foam and vehicle conversion.
Their water tanks are built-in at all Rosenbauer locations around the world and sixty percent of their sales are to other companies in the group.
