Ljubljana, 23 October (STA) - Consumer confidence in Slovenia improved in October after three months of decline, as the confidence indicator rose by two percentage points on the month before. Nevertheless, the indicator is down seven points over October 2017, the latest Statistics Office data show.
The value of the confidence indicator was higher due to more optimistic expectations about savings (by five points) and household finances and the state of the economy (three points each). Consumer expectations about the unemployment rate declined by a point.
At the annual level the confidence indicator decreased mainly because of deep pessimism about the state of the economy, where the sub-indicator plunged by 18 points, and about unemployment (down ten points).
