Ljubljana, 15 February (STA) - The value of construction work done in Slovenia in 2017 increased by 17.8% compared to 2016, data released by the Statistics Office on Thursday show. Buildings construction expanded by 27.6% and civil engineering by 14.6% year-on-year.
A 2.4% drop was recorded in December over November, the first slump in three months, according to the Statistics Office.
Nevertheless, the value of construction work put in place in December was still 21.2% higher than in December 2016. Buildings construction was up 16.9% and civil engineering projects expanded by 27.1%.
