Ljubljana, 22 March (STA) - Slovenian businesses appear to be increasingly gloomy. The business sentiment dropped 2.4 percentage points in March, the second consecutive month of decline. At the annual level it edged 0.6 points lower, the Statistics Office said on Thursday.
A 1.1-point decline in manufacturing was the main cause of the monthly drop, but all sub-indicators bar construction registered slight losses.
At the annual level retail, services and manufacturing were down by roughly a point each, whereas consumer confidence (+1.6 points) and confidence in construction (0.9 points) largely neutralised the effect.
