Ljubljana, 22 February (STA) - Standing at 9.2 points, Slovenia's business sentiment indicator deteriorated in February both over January, by 3.1 percentage points, as well as year-on-year, by 5.3 points, show Statistics Office data released on Friday.
The decrease at the monthly level was dragged down by the confidence indicators in manufacturing (by 2.0 p.p.), confidence among consumers and in retail trade (each by 0.5 p.p.) and in services (by 0.2 p.p.).
The confidence indicator in construction had no impact on the monthly change.
The year-on-year decrease was also primarily the result of a drop of the confidence indicator in manufacturing (by 4.1 p.p.). Following in second place are confidence indicators among consumers (down by 1.0 p.p.).
The confidence indicator in services on the other hand had a positive impact on the monthly change (by 0.2 p.p.).
